Amelia is a qualified Transition to Education facilitator with over five years of experience supporting parents postnatally and was previously an antenatal educator for Nelson Parents Centre.

Amelia also works for a charity focused on reducing material hardship during the first 2,000 days of life.

A māmā of two, Amelia loves family bike rides, pottery, good food and Nelson beaches.

Qualifications:

• New Zealand Diploma in Pregnancy, Childbirth and Early Parenting Education (Level 5 - 2023).

• Parents Centre Antenatal Education Certificate.

• Professional Development (Te Pukenga): Breastfeeding Education

• Professional Development (Parents Centre): Presenting "Objectively Feeding your Pepi" in Classes, Introduction to LGBTTQIA++, Supporting Perinatal Wellbeing, Importance of Touch and Newborn Skin.

• Professional Development (Other): Introduction to Immunisation, Power to Protect - Shaken Baby Prevention, National SUDI Prevention, Foundations in Cultural Competency, Understanding Bias in Health Care.
